A year and a half in the making, our entire living room served as an art studio, 24,000 computer keys and 400 hours have finally ended with an epic 2 day delivery and installation adventure to the Gold Coast, South Florida.
Weighing in at nearly 200 pounds, my seasoned installers transported, delivered and hung this 6.5’ x 16’ creation seamlessly despite dodging tropical bands of heavy rain blowing through from the Bahamas.
Bravo Team Lodestone!
This monumental computer key mosaic was inspired by Cecil B. DeMille’s legendary 1956 film, The Ten Commandments, and re-imagines Charlton Heston’s portrayal of Moses parting the Red Sea.
Moses stretches out his arms as towering walls of water form creating a miraculous path of escape for the Israelites fleeing Pharaoh’s army.
There is a word search spelled out with the keys hidden throughout the artwork with dozens of quotes drawn from classic lines from the movie.
