Powder
coated wrinkle black aluminum frame.
Created
entirely from recycled computer keys,
the
artwork takes visual cues from Robert Indiana’s
iconic
“LOVE” sculpture.
Embedded
within the mosaic is a lyrical scavenger hunt
spelled
out with the computer keys- featuring lines from four legendary rock
bands born in or tied to Bostons musical heritage: Boston, The Cars,
Aerosmith, and The J. Geils Band. The lyrics echo themes of nighttime
longing, late-hour decisions, and emotional crossroads.
Let
me take you home tonight
Mamma
now it's alright
Let
me take you home tonight
I'll
show you sweet delight
-Boston
You
can't go on, thinking nothing's wrong, but now
Who’s
gonna drive you home tonight
-The
Cars
Don’t
wanna close my eyes
I don’t
wanna fall asleep
‘Cause
I’d miss you baby
And I don’t
wanna miss a thing
-Aerosmith
I've
had the blues
The reds and the pinks
One thing for sure
Love
stinks
-J.
Geils Band
